Download the code from The Commons Starter App Project.

Extract the zip files into the following directory: /ADF/apps/starter_app/

Configuration

  • Make sure the ADF is setup and running on the site. If the ADF is not setup, then follow the instructions for ADF Site Configuration (ADF.cfc).
  • Open the sites 'ADF.cfc' file in a text editor. Locate the Load the ADF Application into application space commentin the file. Add (or uncomment) the following command under the comment section:
loadApp("starterApp");

Sample Page

  • Create a new page in your site.
  • Place the Custom Script element on the page.
  • Edit the element and define the explicit path: /ADF/apps/starter_app/customcf/sample.cfm
  • Publish the page and put in read mode.
