Overview

The Portlet Application is built within the ADF. The ADF must be configured for the site to install the Forums App within the site.

Further details can be found at the Site Level ADF Component wiki page.

Steps

  • Locate the following files in the 'ADF/core/site-samples' directory:
    • custom-application.cfm
    • ADF.cfc
  • Copy the 'custom-application.cfm' file into the root of your site. If your site already has a custom-application.cfm file, open this new file and copy the contents into your existing file.
  • Copy the 'ADF.cfc' file into the '_cs_apps' directory of your site.
  • Open the 'ADF.cfc' file for your site in a text editor. Locate the 'Load the ADF Application into application space' comment in the file. Add (or uncomment) the following command under the comment section:
 loadApp("ptPortlet");
  • Reset the ADF for the site by adding the following URL parameter to any page within the site. (If the site is completely new, you may have to create an index.cfm page first.)
